Creativity Saturdays

Bring your lunch and imagination as clean vibes and green minds gather to create repurposed costumes and art out of trash and recyclables in honor of Earth Day with Creativity Saturdays at the Oxbow Eco-Center on Saturday, April 8 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Materials will be provided, but if you have any unique textiles, lamp shades, or miscellaneous items that you'd like to repurpose, bring them along and we’ll help you with a creative design.  Invite your friends and family, Creativity Saturdays are free.

Opportunities include turning plastic bottles into a beautiful larger than life dragonfly which can perch on your hand and fly through the air, spreading creativity and wonder as it goes. You can also make a bird mask out of soda boxes and old magazines.  Then show off your creation during the Procession of the Species parade at Oxbow’s 13th Annual Earth day Festival on Saturday, April 29.

Creativity Saturdays are appropriate for ages 8 and older. Reservations are appreciated, by calling the Oxbow Eco-Center at 772-785-5833 or e-mail cartmille@stlucieco.org
