County's Housing Disaster Plan

Community Services was charged with the responsibility of developing a Housing Disaster Plan, which would be implemented in the event of catastrophic events.   The purpose of the Housing Plan is as follows:  to identify resources available for post disaster housing, in terms of existing programs and available housing units; to identify potential sites for the placement of temporary housing; and to establish the procedures through which affected residents will be assisted with temporary housing.  This Plan addresses how to proceed after a disaster has occurred.  Specifically, the Plan looks at the housing needs of displaced persons who may need shelter for up to eighteen months.
