Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body appointed by the Board of County Commissioners that has the authority to grant variances from the dimensional, floodplain, and airport height requirements of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code. The Board of Adjustment has the power to hear and decide appeals of decisions by any administrative official with respect to any of the Provisions of Land Development Code. This body conducts an official public hearing for each requested variance and appeal. The minutes reflect the action and decisions of the Board at the monthly public hearings.
