Call 211 to receive a free smoke detector from the St. Lucie County Fire District.

Fire District Gives Out Free Smoke Detectors

The St. Lucie County Fire District, along with the 211 Call Center, has launched a program to install 3206 smoke detectors in St. Lucie County residences. Funded by a Federal grant, County residents can call the 211 Call Center to arrange for a smoke detector.  The Call Center will gather information from the resident and then pass it on to the Fire District, which will arrange a time to meet the resident and install the smoke detector.     Read More

Waveland Beach Reopens

Waveland Beach has reopened to the public. The beach access was temporarily closed on April 1, due to the beach renourishment project. St. Lucie County Lifeguards have resuemed their daily coverage at Waveland from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
