Friday, October 7, 2011 - Plant Sale Rescheduled To Oct. 22

Due to inclement weather, the St. Lucie County Cooperative Extension Office and Master Gardeners have rescheduled their 28th Annual Plant Sale to Saturday, Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. The sale was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8.

Located at the Extension Office, 8400 Picos Road, the Annual Plant Sale features more than 3,400 plants available for purchase from 150 varieties. Additionally, free soil testing and garden demonstrations will be offered by trained volunteers from the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS). The St. Lucie County 4-H Horse Club will be also selling composted horse manure.
