April 12, 2005 - Historic Preservation Ordinance Informational Meeting Scheduled

The St. Lucie County Growth Management Department will hold an informational meeting regarding the draft St. Lucie County Historic Preservation Ordinance. The meeting will take place on Thursday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Lucie County Commission Chambers, located at 2300 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce. The nature of the meeting will be to present and discuss alternative "opt out" language to the proposed ordinance.

The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of the draft ordinance on April 19, 2005 at 6 p.m. also at the Commission Chambers. A copy of draft ordinance 05-003 may be obtained from the St. Lucie County Growth Management Department, 2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida 34982 or at www.stlucieco.gov under Cultural Affairs.
