December 20, 2007 - Author Presents Cookbook & Presentation Jan. 5

Anne Devanney will offer a book talk and signing of ''The Culinary Capers Collection: Great Recipes and Other Memorable Food and Beverage Encounters'' at the Fort Pierce Library on Saturday, Jan. 5 at noon. The author will also offer a cooking demonstration.

Devanney's selection of recipes is based on her vast and successful experience as the owner/operator of the catering firm, Culinary Capers, founded in Vero Beach in 1999. She has combined a great variety of her ''trade secrets'' in the book along with recipes for appetizers, main courses and desserts.

The collection also includes a section on ''The Art of Picnicking'' as well as a ''Fresh Fruit and Veggie Seasonal Guide.'' Side notes accompany each recipe as well as history, lore and cooking tips.

Devanney's experience with food began in the kitchen with her grandmother when she was a child. The family business was a retail grocery market where recipes and cooking techniques were shared with customers.

Come and enjoy samples of the author's recipes at this free program. Registration is not required.
