Friday, June 27, 2008 - Fort Pierce Library Invites Teens On A Lagoon Boat Tour July 11

The Fort Pierce Branch Library and Captain and Audubon Warden ''Chop'' Legé invite teens, ages 13-18, on a free boat tour of the Indian River Lagoon on Friday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m.

Would you like to see dolphins, manatees, and other wildlife? Join Capt. Legé, an experienced guide, on a 60-minute educational wildlife and bird tour. Sponsored by the Marine Resources Council and the St. Lucie County Mosquito Control District, guests will enjoy cruising the most bio-diverse estuary in the continental United States.

Throughout the year, Capt. Legé offers lagoon boat tours to school groups as well as Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups.

The boat tour is free. Registration is required and is limited to 30. Parents are invited on the boat if space permits. There will be four adult chaperones on the trip. Participants will need to be at the library no later than 10 a.m.
