Monday, June 30, 2008 - Parks & Rec Offers Additional Italian Soccer Camps

St. Lucie County's Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for three different Italian Soccer Camps held at various county facilities this summer.

Designed for ages 8-18, these half-day camps will provide professional soccer training from retired professional soccer players and coaches: Maurizo Verbeni, goalkeeper for SS Lazio, Sporting Club Roma, and Gilberto ''Gibo'' Rosi, midfield for the youth program of FC Genoa and Inter Milan FC and presently a coach for the youth program of AC JESOLO (Venice).

• July 7 - 11 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Lawnwood Soccer Complex, 1302 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce. Cost: $125.
  
• July 21 - 25 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., South County Stadium, 560 N.W. University Drive, Port St. Lucie. Cost: $125.
  
• July 28 - Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Lawnwood Soccer Complex, 1302 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce. Cost: $125.

The fee includes an ''ITALIA-AZZURRI'' souvenir t-shirt and certificate of participation. All participants can bring their own lunch or purchase lunch for a fee of $4 a day.
