Friday, July 11, 2008 - SLCTV To Host, Televise Primary Candidate Forums July 21, Aug. 4

St. Lucie County's government access channel, SLCTV, will host and broadcast two candidate forums for the local primary elections on Aug. 26.

Organized and coordinated by the St. Lucie County League of Women Voters and SLCTV, the first candidate forum will be held on Monday, July 21 starting at 9 a.m. and feature the 18 candidates running for three St. Lucie County Commission seats. The second candidate forum will be held on Monday, Aug. 4 starting at 9 a.m. and feature candidates for the St. Lucie County School Board, St. Lucie County Sheriff, state and federal House of Representative seats and Judges. The public is invited to attend both of these candidate forums, which will be held in the St. Lucie County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 2300 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce.

The forums will not be televised live, but replayed on SLCTV (Comcast 21), as well as FPTV (Comcast 27) and PSLTV (Comcast 20). Check www.stlucieco.gov/slctv for air times on SLCTV and www.cityofpsl.com/communications/index.html for PSLTV.  The forums will also be posted for viewing on SLCTV’s website under the Video on Demand section.
