2008 Summer Water Safety Registration
 

Morning Sessions will meet Monday - Thursday for 2 weeks

Evening Sessions will meet Tuesday & Thursday for 4 weeks

8 lessons for $41.00 per session

Parent/Infant

  • Age six months to age three, if not potty trained.  (Please have your child wear a swim diaper.)

Pre-school

Must be three, potty trained, is ready to make a break from mom and has not started Kindergarten.

  • Beginner A - Does not want to get their face wet.
  • Intermediate B - Feels comfortable submerging under water.
  • Advanced B - Ready for more advanced skills (must be pre-approved).

Level 1 (Water Exploration)

  • For students who were in Kindergarten in the 2007-2008 school year and do not like to get their face wet or do not know how to float.  (Ages 6 and up)

Level 2 (Primary Skills)

  • Students need to be able to submerge completely under the water and walk in chest-deep water.

Level 3 (Stroke Readiness)

  • Must be able to roll from front float to back float and float for a count of ten.
  • Be comfortable in water over their head and be comfortable performing a basic Front Crawl and Back Crawl.

Level 4 (Stroke Development)

  • Be comfortable in water over their head and be comfortable performing a basic Front Crawl and Back Crawl.

Level 5 (Stroke Refinement)

  • Can rotary breath and swim 25 yards Front Crawl and 25 yards Back Crawl.  Know Elementary Backstroke, Sidestroke and Breaststroke.

Adult (Beginners to Advanced)

  • Must be 15 years or older and must have level I. through level III. skills.  The class is designed to address your skill level individually.
     

St. Lucie County Program Policies:

  • You must call at least 24 hours prior to the start of the session you originally signed up for to receive a credit or refund. Refunds and credits are only given upon managerial approval.  A credit is given to a child who may have a minor illness and or family emergency. The credit can only be transferred one time. You must go through the registration process as normal to use the credit and the credit must be used during the same year with the fall water safety lessons being the exception.  A refund is ONLY issued if the child is unable to attend at any point during the same year due to a major illness or a major family emergency.  Please be aware, we will need a doctor’s note to verify a major illness or injury to the participant.
  • Students must shower and wait in the designated area before class.
  • You may only enter the pool gates 10 minutes before class begins to get prepared for class.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Students must wear swim suits.
  • Parents are welcome to bring lawn chairs, however, must stay in the grass area with the chairs.  The deck must remain clear of lawn chairs for safety purposes.
  • Who ever brings the student to lessons must stay on deck and in turn leave with the student.
  • You must notify personnel before the start of your registered session if you’re interested in changing to another available session.
  • You must call the facility30 min. prior to the start of class to inquire about bad weather cancellations.

Class times will be extended for three lessons if possible or at the discretion of the management, lessons will be extended an additional day and / or a free swim pass for the enrolled child plus one parent will be given.  Please note if a make up day is provided for a morning lesson, it will be done on a Friday. If a make up day is done for an evening lesson, it will be done the Tuesday after the last day of lessons.  A message on the answering machine will inform you of exactly how the make up will be handled. Please note that the message will be available for two days after the cancellation.
