Park Information

Named after Frederick Douglass, the famous African-American abolitionist, editor and author, this beachfront park offers the rare opportunity to ride horseback on the beach. Permits are required to ride horses; however, permits are not being issued at this time as the beach access is closed until spring of 2025 for renovations. Tours on Horseback (a private vendor) has been relocated to John Brooks Park, located at 3300 S Ocean Drive  Click here for more information about horseback riding on the beach.
