5 Mile Creek Paddle at Richard E. Becker Preserve

Come explore with the Environmental Resources Department through our award-winning guided nature program series.  

  • Saturday, Nov 9 5 Mile Creek Paddle at Richard E. Becker Preserve (9:00am-11:30am) - We'll take an expedition south from Becker Preserve to 5 Mile Creek where we will explore this small tributary of the St Lucie River system.   See how the water changes in clarity as we go farther up 5 Mile Creek.  We'll talk a little about the mixing of water on our river systems. Minimum age 10.

Kayak paddles are $20 per person with all equipment provided, reservations are required, and space is limited. The Guided Nature Program season runs from October  through June. There are various topics, locations, and distances all designed for different ages and abilities. There are more than 11,000 acres of protected land for you to discover.
