Administered by St. Lucie County’s Transit Department, ART is a fare-free, award-winning public transit system serving the cities of Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie Village, and the unincorporated areas of St. Lucie County. Area Regional Transit offers bus service on 8 fixed routes throughout St. Lucie County. Riders take Area Regional Transit buses to work or school, to medical appointments, grocery stores, to the mall, and to dozens of other locations throughout the area. Area Regional Transit buses operate weekdays from 6:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. In addition, Saturday service is offered from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. For additional Area Regional Transit information, compliments, or complaints please call Area Regional Transit at: (772) 462-1778 option #4. 

Hours of Operation

• Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 operate from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Route 7 operates from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday only.
• Route 8 is an Express Route; it operates from 7:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. 700 p.m. Monday – Friday only.
• No service is provided on Sundays, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
