Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is proposing to replace the existing bridge on McCarthy Road / County Road 712A over Ten Mile Creek in St. Lucie County. The new bridge will be raised to accommodate higher creek elevations. A raised concrete walkway will be provided on the bridge. The bridge will be closed during construction. The recommended detour route is Eleven Mile Road.
Construction begins: spring 2017
Estimated time of construction: One (1) year
Estimated construction cost: $2.1 million
FDOT representatives will be available at the Open House to explain the proposed improvements and answer your questions on an individual basis.
Directions to the public meeting:
- Use Peacock Road entrance to Fairgrounds
- Stay to the left and park west of the Exhibit Halls
- Meeting in Exhibit Hall A (eastern hall)
