Pokémon Safari

Explore on your own or take a guided hike through a pine flatwoods forest or along the St. Lucie River to not only catch Pokémon, but learn about the many native species of St. Lucie County.  You’ll find tracks, scat and other signs of real animals while catching the virtual ones.   Several guided hikes will be offered, but space is limited and will be filled on a first-come; first-serve basis.

Be sure to take Pokémon pictures while on your hike and post them to Facebook and/or tweet them using the hashtag #SLC Poke Safari for a chance to win. The Oxbow Eco-Center is a Pokémon Gym, so stick around after your hike and prepare for battle.

Whether you spot any wildlife or just the evidence of their presence, you’ll still get to see live animals during our Crunch N’ Munch Program (held every Saturday at 3 p.m.) where Oxbow volunteers will be feeding turtles, lizards and more.
