Both facilities will open for a special after-hours adventure that is free with the purchase of a joint admission ticket. The fun begins at the Aquarium, where families can search for Freaky Fishes in the darkened displays with special flashlights, then trick-or-treat through Museum Pointe Park, and finally explore Haunted History with a hands-on treasure hunt at the History Center.
Participants in this special, spooky event must purchase joint tickets at the Aquarium for entry to both facilities. Doors creak open at 6 p.m. and costumed children ages 12 and under will receive trick-or-treat goodie bags at the Aquarium. Smithsonian education staff will be on-hand to distribute special flashlights and point out nocturnal animals that remain unseen during daylight hours.
After exploring the Aquarium, participants will take a short five-minute walk through the “spooky forest” in Museum Pointe Park with trick-or-treat stations along the way. Volunteers with the St. Lucie County Historical Society will greet visitors to the History Center where children will enjoy a treasure hunt through the exhibits.
Joint tickets for this special event can be purchased at the Aquarium for $7 for adults, $4 for children, and $5 for seniors (age 55+). Aquarium members can purchase tickets at discounted price of $5 for adults, $3 for children, and $4 for seniors.
