Becoming a Naturalist Workshop

Participants will learn how wildlife, weather, soil and humans are all connected in a world that is designed to work beautifully. This two-part class combines a hands-on classroom experience with observational field excursions to give a well-rounded introduction to Florida’s ecosystems with an emphasis on the biodiversity at the Oxbow Eco-Center.  Whether you’re a beginning naturalists or just looking for a refresher, this is a great opportunity to become familiar with one of St. Lucie County’s most treasured preserves.

Participants must be at least 16 years old. Reservations are required. The cost is $30 per participant, but free for active Oxbow volunteers. For more information or to register please call the Oxbow Eco-Center at 772-785-5833; e-mail ecartmill@stlucieco.org; or visit www.oxboweco.com
