The conversation will be in the form of a visioning session and will be facilitated by Neil Levine, executive director of the Brevard Cultural Alliance. Levine is a world-renown arts administrator who has promoted and facilitated the growth of arts and cultural programming in the United States and Europe.
The goal of this public workshop is to reach consensus in designating a Local Arts Agency. Florida’s Division of Cultural Affairs recognizes each County’s designated Local Arts Agency as the umbrella organization that provides services, support and programming for arts and culture organizations, artists and their local communities. After the non-profit Arts and Cultural Alliance dissolved last year, the umbrella organization is currently missing in St. Lucie County and county leaders invite you to participate in this visioning session on Jan. 27 to help shape the future of art and culture in St. Lucie County by discussing the designation of a Local Arts Agency.
If you are involved in an arts or cultural group located in St. Lucie County and are interested in attending, please RSVP to phelank@stlucieco.org by Jan. 20.
