To many visitors and new residents of St. Lucie County, the animals and plants of Florida may seem quite a bit different from what they’re used to experiencing. This hike through the Oxbow preserve helps provide participants with an opportunity to see and experience Florida unique habitats such as pine flatwoods and floodplain forests, as well as the varied birds and wildlife that inhabit them.

Programs are usually limited to 15 people helping to allow participants to immerse themselves into the county’s beautiful natural areas. Programs target ages 12 and older unless otherwise noted. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Proper footwear and water are required for all programs, and please leave pets at home.
