Start your day on the beach watching sea turtle hatchlings race to the water to start their lifelong adventure. Participants will enjoy a morning beach walk, learn about the fascinating lives of sea turtles, and can observe firsthand the excavation of a loggerhead sea turtle nest by trained individuals’ who are permitted by Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission to conduct such activities. Sea Turtle Hatchling Walks are scheduled every Friday in August in the morning from 6:30am-8:30am. Designed for participants ages 6 and older. Walks are free, space is limited to 15 participants and reservations are required. Online registration opens July 15, 2022 at 9am on the Guided Nature Program website www.SLCHikes.org.
