This year’s event is being expanded to include more than just a plant sale. The event will include craft and fruit free vendors, educational workshops by county extension agents and Master Gardener volunteers presenting on a variety of topics such as: How to pot an orchid; Learning to Propagate; Planting outside the box; Composting; What is Sargassum and Growing Your Own Sea Veggies with a little tasting. The event will also feature local food trucks including Happy Grillmore, Carvel and Winner, Winner Breakfast for Dinner.
Bring the whole family to this free event, which will feature a petting zoo and other children’s activities.
For questions or interested in becoming a vendor please contact Master Gardener Volunteer Program Specialist Danielle Shalginewicz at 772-462-1445 or DShalginewicz@ufl.edu.
The money raised during our plant sale will go toward horticulture and educational programs as well as scholarships to students who have been accepted into a Florida college and plan to follow a career in horticulture, environmental science, agriculture or any related fields.
