Nonnative plants on the Treasure Coast

Learning to report and identify nonnative plants on the Treasure Coast. Natural Resources & Environment / Extension Agent Ken Gioeli will teach participants about some of the common invasive plants found in our area. Plants such as Australian Pines, Brazilian Peppertree, Old World Climbing Fern are here and causing harm to the environment. Gioeli will teach fairgoers about tools to aid in the management including the UF/IFAS Assessment of Non-native Plants, UF/IFAS EDIS, EddMaps, and other resources to help identify the invasive species that can be found on the Treasure Coast.
