Commercial Horticulture Agent and Extension Director Grantly Ricketts will teach participants about the best breeds of chickens that produce the most eggs per year as well as best management practices, including light requirement, water and feed.

Residents in the unincorporated area of St. Lucie County (outside city limits) are allowed to have backyard chickens, except for those living in the River Park subdivision.
