The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is seeking public input on the county’s transit needs to update its 2025-2034 Transit Development Plan.
The Area Regional Transit (ART) staff will host two public workshops on Tuesday, Aug. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Morningside Library in Room 103, located at 2410 SE Morningside Blvd. in Port St. Lucie and Wednesday, August 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Zora Neale Hurston Library, located at 3008 Avenue D in Fort Pierce.
These workshops will give residents the chance to provide valuable input to update the county’s Transit Development Plan, also known as a TDP, which functions as the strategic guide for public transportation in the community. County Commissioners and ART staff want to hear residents’ ideas, suggestions and priorities to ensure that the county’s public transportation system evolves to meet the needs of St. Lucie County residents and businesses.
For residents that cannot attend either workshop, an online survey is available to provide input: https://arcg.is/1rbC081. The online survey will be available until the end of October.
Any person requiring special accommodations to attend or participate, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, should contact Area Regional Transit (ART) within at least three business days before the meeting at 772-462-1778.
