The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County’s Elder Law Project provides free civil legal services to residents of Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties who are 60 years of age or older.
Services include:
Housing - Landlord/Tenant, Unlawful Detainer and Ejectment
Health and Public Benefits - Food Stamps, Long-Term Care, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Consumer - Reverse Mortgage Foreclosure Defense, Defense of Garnishment of Social Security and Wages, Scams and Fraud
Abuse and Exploitation - Exploitation by family member, caregivers or companies
Caregivers (18 or older) - Primary caregiver for a senior (60 or older) who meets the frailty requirement under DOEA guidelines
