Saturday, June 1 – Man’s Effect – What’s in a Preserve? with Bill at George LeStrange Preserve from 9:00am-11:00am (min age: 8)

On this hike we will pause regularly to discuss Florida's varied landscape, from different habitat types, to how communities deal with stormwater through retention ponds, to the importance of fire. We will learn about the value of preserves and the ways land can be managed for the enjoyment of people as well as native ecosystems.
