Oxbow Eco-Center Closed - Trails remain open

Oxbow’s Main Parking Lot Closed April 9 – 22; Auxiliary Parking Open

PORT ST. LUCIE – The Oxbow Eco-Center’s main parking lot will be closed Tuesday, April 9 through Monday, April 22 as staff prepares for the St. Earth Day Festival. Auxiliary parking will be available along the southern canal bank for hikers and visitors. Signage will be visibly placed to direct cars to the parking area, located just south of the Oxbow’s main entrance.

The bathrooms, trails, nature playscape, amphitheater and picnic areas will remain open during regular hours with limited access to indoor exhibits.

The 20th Annual Earth Day Festival will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free community event will feature more than 70 exhibitors with hands-on activities, live music, food trucks, family-friendly performances in the wooded amphitheater and much more. Don’t miss this celebratory event at the Oxbow Eco-Center as its trails are transformed into an eco-friendly wonderland complete with eco-art displays. Located at 5400 NE St. James Drive, the Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County environmental learning center situated on 225-acres of land on the St. Lucie River and is managed by St. Lucie County Environmental Resources Department. The education center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., while the trails are open daily from dawn until dusk.
