This class is designed to provide training in best management practices for anyone working in lawn maintenance, landscaping, pest control or municipal grounds management. The focus of best management practices is to reduce nonpoint source pollution resulting from fertilizer or pesticide application through the implementation of Florida-friendly landscaping. This training also provides continuing education units (CEU).
This workshop is intended to provide you with mandated training and administer the required exam. Once you have satisfied the training requirements and passed the test, you will receive a best management practices certification card. Upon receiving the certification card, you can apply to the Florida Department of Consumer & Agriculture Services (FDACS) for your fertilizer license.
