First Paddle of the Season

Come explore with the Environmental Resources Department through our award-winning guided nature program series.  

  • Monday, Oct 7 - First Paddle of the Season at Richard E. Becker Preserve (9:00am-11:30am) - Catch a glimpse of St. Lucie County by water! Experience the beautiful winding St. Lucie River by kayak. Tandem or single, enjoy the sights with all equipment provided. This paddle is the first of the Guided Nature Program season. Let's get on the water and stretch those kayaking muscles! Minimum age 10.

Visit www.SLChikes.org for more information and to register. Nature hikes are FREE, reservations are required, and space is limited. Kayak paddles are $20 per person with all equipment provided, reservations are required, and space is limited. The Guided Nature Program season runs from October  through June. There are various topics, locations, and distances all designed for different ages and abilities. There are more than 11,000 acres of protected land for you to discover. We look forward to seeing you in the great outdoors!
