- Friday, Nov 8 - Birder’s Excursion at Jones Hammock Preserve (7:30am-10:30am) - It's an all-avian hike along a secluded wetland and river at this preserve, adjacent to the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. Prolific residents and migratory birdlife are attracted to the site’s bountiful food supply. This morning hike is sure to impress with birds, wildflowers, and maybe even a gator glimpse. Minimum age 12.

Kayak paddles are $20 per person with all equipment provided, reservations are required, and space is limited. The Guided Nature Program season runs from October through June. There are various topics, locations, and distances all designed for different ages and abilities. There are more than 11,000 acres of protected land for you to discover.
