Come explore with the Environmental Resources Department through our award-winning guided nature program series. Saturday, Nov 16 - Beaver Moon Night Hike at Walton Scrub Preserve (6:00pm-8:00pm) - Lore has it that the "Beaver Moon" was so-named by First Nations people for the heavy activity observed as northern Florida beavers were busily building up their winter dams. Florida's largest native rodent reminds us that the dry season approaches, with bright moonlight to illuminate our path as we explore ecosystems by night, hearing and seeing the wild "night shift" around us. Minimum age 10.
