Come explore with the Environmental Resources Department through our award-winning guided nature program series.
- Sunday, Nov 17 - It's "Take a Hike" Day at Lake Indrio Preserve (8:30am-10:30am) - Since the 1870s, American historical figures such as John Muir, Frederick Olmstead, and others helped to shape our idea of walking for pleasure, leisure, and connections with nature. With the establishment of the National Trails System in 1965, Americans had more recreational areas to explore hiking and reconnect with the environment. This hike is an opportunity for us to celebrate the evolution of hiking within our society, where Florida's strong ecotourism offerings play a solid role. Minimum age 12.
