Treasure Coast International Airport (FPR), formerly known as St. Lucie County International Airport, is a general aviation airport that encompasses 3,844 acres and is host to dozens of tenants including aeronautic businesses such as aircraft maintenance, storage, and manufacturing as well as a flight training school, air taxi and charter services, medical transport, and a missionary flights operation. Users will experience a well-equipped airport offering a full-service fixed-base operator with fuel services, oxygen and a restaurant. The airport also houses a U.S. Customs and Border Protection office and Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Services (ARFF). The mission of Treasure Coast International Airport is to operate in a safe, efficient and environmentally sensitive manner, while serving the airport tenants and the general aviation community, and the air transportation needs of the County.

Treasure Coast International Airport has tremendous growth potential, and using the airport’s Master Plan as its blueprint for growth, the airport has established a set of well-defined goals that were solicited from the desires of different airport stakeholders. These goals are as follows and are in no particular order:

  1. Provide an airport that is safe, secure, and reliable for the citizens of St. Lucie County;
  2. Create programs and projects to modernize and expand the airport infrastructure;  
  3. Expand domestic and international commercial air service to and from Treasure Coast International Airport;
  4. Create expanded economic development opportunities and financially sustainable activities at Treasure Coast International Airport;
  5. Create programs, policies, and projects that increase the environmental sustainability of the Airport;
  6. Assess future airport trends and position Treasure Coast International Airport to be at the forefront of airport innovation;
  7. Promote a strong relationship with the local and regional community.
