Utility Loop Project

Derecktor/Fort Pierce Shipyard, Utility loop –This project will provide the potable water, fire lines and fiber optic data lines to service stations on the terminal (also increasing available power from 1,600 to 27,000 amps), dramatically increasing its capacity. It will be completed by the end of this year. Funding for this project has been shared by Derecktor - Fort Pierce, LLC, and the Florida Department of Transportation at a cost of approximately $2.5 million.

Slipway

Derecktor has constructed a new slipway for the operation of the world's largest mobile boat hoist, capable of lifting a 250-foot megayacht onto the terminal.

Fort Pierce Shore Protection Project

 The 2023 Fort Pierce Shore Protection Project was completed in May of 2023. The project placed approximately 493,226 cubic yards of sand onto 1.3 miles of beach south of Fort Pierce Inlet.

Fort Pierce Inlet

The Fort Pierce Inlet Sand Trap Project aims to find closer, cheaper sand sources, instead of relocating sand from other remote locations.  The sand is then utilized on beach renourishment projects.
