Challenge and programs begin June 1 and run through August 3

For all children and teens, infants through high school

SRP Art 2024 - Adventure begins

Sign-up begins May 14 for this challenge-based program designed to motivate and excite youth of all ages to read all summer long. Anyone can participate, whether you're a parent reading to a newborn, a brand-new reader in elementary school, or reading your way through high school.  Read what makes you happy and track everything you read. Build on the joy of reading with fun Summer Reading activities. Everyone wins when everyone reads - and you can win prizes!

Rewards for completing the challenge with TWO chances to win a GRAND PRIZE!

Here's how to play...

1. Set your daily goal - "I will read _____ minutes each day" - and start your timer. Recommended times are 10 minutes per day for pre-K, 15 minutes for K through grade five, 20 minutes for middle school and up, but you decide!
2. Track each day you reach your reading goal. Use Beanstack online to track your reading or pick up a paper log at your local branch.
3. Earn a digital badge for every 3 days of reading or activities:
   - After 15 days of reading get a free book, a pass that grants free access to your choice of a St. Lucie County pool, the Aquarium, the History Center, or a free kayak rental at the Savannas Recreation Area, PLUS one entry in the grand prize drawing of your choice.
   - After 30 days of reading turn in your second entry form and get a second pass (as described above) AND a second entry into the drawing of your choice!
4. Come into any library branch (bring your paper log with you if you're using one) to get your free book, pass or kayak rental. If you're using Beanstack you'll enter yourself for the grand prize drawing online, if not drop off your entry when you claim your award.
5. Can’t visit? We will enter you into the raffle of your choice.  Log your reading and send a photo of your log to Gabe Gresham at greshamg@stlucieco.org

Submit the entries that you earn into your choice of drawing for one of these great prizes:

Drone with Camera
Art Supply Creativity Set
Qniuco Telescope
Amazon $50 Gift Card

Winners of the grand prizes will be notified by phone or email.

Reading can be digitally tracked on your phone with the Beanstack app. The Summer Reading Challenge starts June 1 but sign-up begins May 14!
