St Lucie County has nearly 11,000 acres of preserved and natural lands, all managed and monitored by the Environmental Resources Department (ERD). Currently 26 preserves are open for public use. Enjoy bird watching, hiking, kayaking and paddle boarding in a variety of beautiful Florida habitats.Click here to learn more.

Paddling Trail

St Lucie County has unique collection of waterways, including the Indian River Lagoon, one of the nation’s most diverse estuaries. ERD has been developing and improving preserves along the Ten Mile Creek and St Lucie River to help connect visitors to the incredible natural resources.
