Limestone Reef Modules
St. Lucie County is working with a local company to create limestone artificial reef modules to be deployed offshore to attract marine life for fishermen and divers. There are naming right opportunities available to have these reefs named after a business, family member or loved one. For details contact Coastal Resources Coordinator Jim Oppenborn at oppenbornj@stlucieco.org or 772-462-1713.
On August. 17, 2017, 34 Limestone Special artificial reef modules were deployed by McCulley Marine Services. All modules were made in St. Lucie County.
Four memorial modules were deployed including one for Kerry Dillon, St. Lucie County artificial reef consultant from 2005 until 2017
