Hospital Transportation
St. Lucie County Veteran Services provides free transportation for Veterans with scheduled medical appointments to/from the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.
A safe and comfortable ride is provided for Veterans who do not have other means of travel and/or can no longer drive. We are currently following CDC guidelines to safely transport our veterans. All veterans must wear a mask while on the shuttle and observe CDC social distancing procedures. Due to Covid-19 transport is now limited to 5 passengers per day per pick up location, Monday through Friday. Veterans calling with transportation needs are scheduled on a "first come - first served" basis. Veterans must have a confirmed medical appointment between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. prior to calling the office to request a ride.
Reservations can be made up to three weeks in advance of a confirmed appointment.
In order to accommodate veterans throughout the County, two convenient pick up locations have been established:

All County Veteran Vehicles are monitored by video cameras with audio at all times.
These procedures have been established in order to make the system beneficial for all concerned and may differ from those programs in other counties.
Veterans should call their respective County Veteran Service Office for details on their individual transportation services.
