Park Information
This 94-acre site includes a one-mile hiking trail surrounding the 37-acre "catch-and-release" lake. A canoe launch provides access to the lake. (Electric motors and paddles only). There is also an additional one-mile interpretative trail.

Additional Information
Trails: This site will connect several miles of proposed trail along Ten Mile Creek and the North Fork of the St. Lucie River.
Habitat: Mostly disturbed. Contains a man-made lake, pine flatwoods and floodplain forest.
Commonly seen wildlife: Osprey and bald eagle.
Historical Interest
The site is named after Mr. George E. Lestrange (1912-1962), who loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman.
Notes: The lake was an old sand mine. Caution: Due to steep slopes, no wading or swimming is allowed.
Only electric motors are permitted on the lake.
