Home MenuCollection System
Wastewater (liquid waste) from flushing the toilet, bathing, washing sinks and general cleaning goes down the drain and into a pipe, which joins a large underground network of pipes called a collection system. The collection system is an important part of a wastewater system that carries the wastewater from homes and businesses to a Water Reclamation Facility where it can be effectively treated. The District's collection system is made up of more than 22 miles of gravity sewer lines, 69 pumping stations and 35 miles of force mains conveying wastewater to five Water Reclamation Facilities throughout our system.
Our proactive maintenance program keeps the collection system flowing as smoothly as possible for our customers. You have a part too in protecting the enironment and keeping reliable service with every flush.
